Practice areas are primarily Family Law and Mediation. Fast paced office. Law Firm experience preferred, but will consider the right candidate with office/admin experience. Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Workers’ Compensation Case Manager / Hearing Representative to join our legal team. This position requires significant knowledge of California workers’ compensation practice and procedure, with the ability to manage files independently, prepare cases for hearing, and communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and medical providers. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of workers’ compensation matters from intake through resolution. Navigate EAMS (Electronic Adjudication Management System) effectively for filing, calendaring, and case monitoring. Draft correspondence, including persuasive letters to defendants and insurance carriers. Request and track QME panels; manage the medical-legal evaluation process. Identify and analyze complex case issues, including medical treatment disputes, temporary disability, and permanent disability exposure. Prepare hearing binders and assist attorneys with case preparation, including MSCs and trials. Communicate with clients to explain case status, medical treatment, and benefit issues. Maintain deadlines, ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory timelines, and flag issues requiring attorney review. Qualifications Required: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in California workers’ compensation case management or as a hearing representative. Strong understanding of California Labor Code, Title 8 CCR regulations, and WCAB procedures. Proficiency with EAMS and experience handling QME/AME disputes. MUST speak and write Spanish Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
