Truck/Trailer Mechanic - Day Shift - Arlington (Arlington)

Walsh Trucking Co. is a 65+ year old family owned company and the leader in the wood residual and waste product transport for the Pacific Northwest. We are looking to add a truck and trailer mechanic to our growing team in Arlington, OR. This location is a busy terminal that maintains a fleet of trailers and trucks that we pride ourselves with keeping in the best possible condition. Mechanics are responsible for everything and will learn how to perform everything between engine overhauls to simple tire work. We pride ourselves in being a full-service repair facility. This position is day shift, Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm. (occasional OT on Saturday). Bring your experience, and join our amazing team! *Welding skills, hydraulic repair, and troubleshooting preferred *Experience with Class 8 truck/trailer air brake systems *Must have own basic hand tools - shop tools will be supplied *Position will include routine maintenance to heavy repairs A Successful candidate will have: *Experience with equipment, automotive, or truck and trailer repair. *Willingness to learn quickly *Knowledge of Suspension and Drive train repair. *Basic set of tools and box. (Large and specialty tools provided) *Valid license with the ability to obtain DOT card. *Strong Customer Service mindset: Willing to go above and beyond to make our drivers feel they are getting the respect they deserve and their trucks are getting the attention they need. *Welding/fabrication is highly desirable, however will train the right person *The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
