South Puget Sound Community College seeks a highly motivated and qualified candidates for the position of HVAC Technician in Facilities. This position will serve as an HVAC technician, responsible for testing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC equipment owned and/or operated by SPSCC. The position will support college efforts toward sustainability and energy conservation. This position will also serve as a maintenance mechanic as needed. What You'll Do Perform the work of an HVAC Technician: Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair HVAC equipment. Analyze and maintain building systems, equipment, and conditions; familiarity with HVAC, mechanical, and control systems. Monitor and adjust building heating and cooling systems, working closely with the Energy and Resource Management Program Coordinator to achieve optimal results. Operate and maintain testing instruments and equipment.•Create, monitor, review, and close out assigned CMMS work orders. Provide support to other Maintenance and Operations staff (Capital Projects, I.T Department, Safety Team, Business Office): Create, monitor, review, and close out assigned CMMS work orders. Participate in capital projects/meetings as assigned. Assist with grant and other incentive programs Qualifications You Possess Minimum Qualifications Three years’ experience as an HVAC Technician or a combination of schooling and work experience. EPA universal refrigerant handler’s card. E06 Electrical License Strong commitment to customer service. Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work well in a team environment. Strong leadership skills. Ability to work independently, perform multiple tasks and accommodate interruptions. Ability to work well under pressure. Computer skills – MS Office, CMMS, HVAC Control Systems Read and interpret blueprints. Valid Driver’s License required.
