Job Title: Pipe Welder (Tig) Location: Muscatine, IA Pay: $30 - $34/hr Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Duration: Contract – a few months, with potential for extension Experience Required: Minimum 4 years in commercial/industrial pipe welding - tig Per Diem is offer if you live 72 miles from the facility and can provide proof. $100.00/day Position Overview: Superior Skilled Trades is hiring experienced Pipe Welders for immediate contract opportunities in Muscatine, Iowa. This role involves welding and fitting stainless and carbon steel pipes in commercial and industrial environments. Ideal candidates are skilled, safety-minded professionals who can interpret technical drawings and deliver precise, high-quality welds. Key Responsibilities: Weld stainless and carbon steel piping systems per work orders, blueprints, flow sheets, P&ID’s, and vendor specs Perform TIG, MIG, and Stick welding with consistent accuracy Braze, solder, and repair/replace piping components using materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and copper Operate hand, power, and shop tools safely and effectively Assist in the assembly and installation of process equipment Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and system issues Install pipe fittings, rigging, and related mechanical components Lubricate equipment and maintain systems as required Input accurate data into the work order system Perform additional duties as needed Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial/industrial pipe welding Proficient in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding techniques Skilled in pipe fitting, rigging, and equipment installation Able to interpret blueprints, P&ID’s, and technical documentation Familiarity with various metals, including stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and copper Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills Testing Requirements: 2” Carbon Steel: TIG root, TIG cover 6” Schedule 40: TIG root, Stick cover (7018) 2” Stainless Steel: TIG root, TIG cover Additional Requirements: Must be able to pass a drug test and background check Must have welding hood and welding tools Job requires proper use of PPE Reliable transportation to and from job sites If you have the experience needed for these jobs, please text "Pipe Muscatine" to 321-352-6470 for a quick response.
