Carpenter/Painting/ Other Duties (Stamford/Greenwich/Bedford)

This is a SINGLE job. Must have car. Must have varied skills: STAMFORD LOCATION Carpentry (laminate flooring/wood trim: crown & base molding). Install vanity, kitchen cabinets. Drywall patch. Painting: interior painting Plumbing 'lite', Install new faucets Basic Electric: hang sconce, pendant lights GREENWICH LOCATION General property oversite Exterior paint repair Install precut clapboard Change decayed exterior deck railings Understanding of water timers that operate koi pond (will show and explain this to you) Change bulbs in outdoor light fixtures Drywall repair BEDFORD LOCATION Basic interim oversight of tree care crew (very basic). Trees, not lawn Exterior painting Wood repair (decking and porch) Install door hardware Simple plumbing issue resolution (install vanity and connect new faucets) ABOUT YOU: 1. understand time management- must be able to allocate time resource to each location 2. completely grasp the notion of schedules regarding repetitive functions, by example- turning outdoor irrigation on EACH day 3. Ability to forecast identifiable problems, proactively avoid oncoming problems before they occur. Produce material and parts lists before a project begins- and- alter course during a project when it is plainly obvious a course correction is needed 4. Get to your job on time. Cannot enter this position if you know you have personal time conflicts. The core job is Stamford and Greenwich. These locations are seven miles apart. To a lesser degree, you will have to go to Bedford (which is 3-miles from the Greenwich location) YOU MUST HAVE VERY DEFINED COMMON SENSE.******************************** We will not explain things like 'gravity' or 'drainage' or tool care or 'travel-time', or the difference between 110v and 220v, or in the chance you are in Bedford and oversee the tree crew and you are asked about which way a cut-tree will fall, you must have the common sense to grasp that gravity generally decides where the tree will go. No one will explain to you what a plastic tarp does in terms of painting a ceiling. No one will explain 2-cycle gas to you (two-stroke oil mix). You must understand these concepts now. This is a long term job. Send written work history (resume or detailed letter in outline form) This is a five-day per week job. You are paid a net salary CHECK. (there is NO cash payments) You are paid ONCE per week. By example, you work Monday to Friday, you get your check on the next Wednesday (four days after the week finishes) The pay is established by shifts. A shift is one work day. There are five shifts per week (*with chance for one extra shift) The job is shift-based. Not by hour. See note below about your pay expectation(s) You need to provide a copy of your ID once hired. Speaking English or some English is best. If not, you must be fast and fluid with translation apps. You can be from "anywhere" Each location has a clean bathroom and refrigeration for food. Two locations have microwave ovens In your reply of interest, state what your shift pay minimum request is. By example ONLY. This is a simple example. If your minimum shift pay is $16 per day, this does NOT break down to $2 per hour (8 hours x $2= $16). You are paid by the full shift.
