Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Communicate with other construction team members to ensure that concrete form work is aligned with project schedules and timelines.  - Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.  - Follow any directions given by crew lead or foreman. - Keep the jobsite, trucks and equipment clean. - Lay out and mark concrete forms according to blueprints and specifications. - Install and secure forms for pouring concrete, using hand tools and power tools. - Cut, shape, and fit materials to form walls, columns, and other structures. - Insert steel reinforcement and embedded items, such as anchor bolts and conduits, prior to pouring concrete. - Use levels and transit levels to ensure that forms are level and straight. - Clean and maintain forms, tools and mix and apply release agents to prevent concrete from sticking to forms. - Mix cement, concrete, mortar and various patching compounds. - Check the forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed. - Spread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float. - Operate power vibrator to consolidate concrete. - Install all types of joints, i.e. expansion, construction & contraction. - Remove forms, clean and prepare concrete surfaces for finishing. - Moving, loading and unloading all material required for jobsite. - Some weekend work may be required. - Reliable transportation is required. - Willingness to learn and assist where needed without hesitation. - Must be able to set and follow string lines. - Report any unsafe work practices or safety hazards to the Foreman. Experience, Certifications, and Qualifications: - Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a form setter or finisher. - Be able to operate small equipment, including but not limited to drills, skid steer, circular saw, power trowels, compactor, laser, etc. - Required to obtain the following certifications during employment: OSHA 10 Hour, Skid Steer Operator, and CPR Certification. Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced cobbler or technician with a minimum of 7 years of directly relevant or transferable trade experience. The ideal candidate is confident using equipment for traditional and modern repair techniques, takes pride in precision work, and enjoys contributing to a culture of quality and professionalism.
