Specializing in commercial HVAC, the Technician performs maintenance, repair, replacement, and modernization of HVAC systems in order to achieve regulated climatic conditions. Position requires the Technician has extensive knowledge of HVAC principles and the ability to recognize and determine the most efficient method for diagnosing, testing and correcting malfunctions. The ideal EMI HVAC Technician is EPA Universal Certified and has the skill level to make repairs on a variety of systems. Key Responsibilities Work on various types of HVAC units: split package, residential style, and up to light commercial, mini-splits, VAV’s and AHU Use a multi-meter to check voltage lamp Use a torch for brazing Prepare work orders and cost materials estimates May assist in training lower-level workers in mechanical repair techniques Essential Skills Work independently, a self-starter Read schematic diagrams Understand the Refrigeration cycle with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend repair strategies PRACTICE WORKPLACE SAFETY in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies used in repair of HVAC equipment. Including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Requirements High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of experience in the maintenance, repair, installation, and operation of COMMERCIAL heating, ventilation, refrigeration and air conditioning systems EPA type II Refrigeration License HVAC I course or equivalent Regular, dependable attendance required Overtime- nights and weekends Valid driver’s license compliant with REAL ID Act or are you willing and able to obtain one Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions * Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The After Care Program Coordinator oversees all aspects of the after-school program for students in Early Childhood through 8th grade, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment aligned with the mission of SHA. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to create meaningful afterschool programming. Hours are 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM, Monday–Thursday; Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Supervision Plan, organize, and oversee daily after care activities, ensuring they are age-appropriate, inclusive, and engaging for EC–8 students. Supervise, train, and support after care staff and vendors, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment. Maintain appropriate staff-to-student ratios at all times. Coordinate enrichment programs, including partnerships with outside vendors (e.g., art, sports, drama, STEM). Prior experience with assessing feasibility/cost and detailed design for excavation and off-site disposal projects, in-situ chemical injections (oxidant and reductant approaches), sub-slab depressurization systems, and other remedial systems is required. The successful candidate will work with junior engineers, geologists and environmental scientists to design and manage field work including groundwater, soil, soil vapor, and surface water sampling, manage and evaluate field and lab data, supervise contractors and drillers, and support the preparation of reports and conduct review of reports developed by junior staff.
