 Join our team as a Lead Lifeguard for the Coral Casino Beach & Cabana Club! The Club, located at Butterfly Beach in Santa Barbara, is one of the most elite social clubs in the world. As part of the Ty Warner Hotels & Resorts portfolio, it’s sister properties include Montecito Club, Four Seasons Resort the Biltmore Santa Barbara, San Ysidro Ranch, Sandpiper Golf Club, Four Seasons New York, and Las Ventanas Al Paraiso in Los Cabos, Mexico. The Lead Lifeguard implements all water safety policies and procedures. Supervises Members and guests in and around the swimming pool, kiddie pool, jacuzzi, and cold plunge. Leads the lifeguard team in conjunction with the Operations Manager(s). This position is compensated at $22/hr. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Greet and interact with Members, guests, vendors, and colleagues in a courteous, attentive, and service-oriented manner. Report to work on time for all scheduled shifts and breaks; clock in/out in full uniform. Maintain grooming and uniform standards. Commit to continual improvement in all areas of the operation. Prepare pool daily: vacuum bottom, skim surface, empty skimmers. Monitor swimmers at all times to ensure safety; enforce pool rules. Administer minor first aid and report supply needs. Maintain cleanliness and amenities in restrooms, showers, and changing rooms. Assist with organizing clinics and private lessons as directed. Lead and monitor pool games and suggest poolside activities. Set up and put away safety equipment, swim aids, and toys daily. Straighten pool and cabana areas at day’s end. Complete required records; attend meetings as scheduled. Perform pre-opening duties and implement pool safety procedures. Report unresolved safety concerns to the Pool Manager. Follow all Club and department policies, procedures, and standards. Support a safe work environment and assist with other tasks as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Knowledge of pool chemistry, surveillance, rescue techniques, and emergency response procedures. Trained in CPR/AED and blood-borne pathogen protocols. Able to apply only American Red Cross–approved teaching methods. Strong verbal communication skills; fluent in English with solid follow-through. High attention to detail and professionalism in all guest interactions. Honest, dependable, and aligned with the Club’s service standards. Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Able to interpret and enforce Coral Casino policies and procedures. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Requirements EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred. Prior lifeguard experience strongly preferred. Current CPR certification required. Valid Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate required. American Red Cross First Aid certification, including AED training, required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to swim laps and dive to the bottom of the pool. Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach, walk, stand, stoop, climb stairs, balance and/or crouch. Continuous repetitive motions. Physical exertion over long periods of time. Works outdoors in both hot and chilly environment depending upon the time of year. Push, pull and lift 50 pounds. Working conditions often slippery and wet. Able to work in a busy, noisy environment. Able to tolerate the smell of chlorine and experience frequent exposure to cleaning agents. We have a new opening for a Physical Therapist at the Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton in San Diego, CA. Job Specific Responsibilities and Tasks: Duties may include but are not limited to: • Perform a full range of physical therapist services in accordance with the scope of clinical privileges granted by the MTF. • Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on an evaluation of the patient. • Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function. • Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in performing various physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily-living activities, and in use of assistive and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses. • Administer soft tissue mobilization, applying knowledge of mobilization techniques and body physiology. • Administer traction to relieve pain, using traction equipment. • Record treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart and/or automated systems. • Coordinate treatment with physician and other staff members to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment program and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of the patient's health care. Contact referring physicians regarding patient care concerns, as required. • Perform prevention and wellness activities, education, screening, and promote positive health behaviors.   Additional Duties: • Possess knowledge of physical therapy theory, professional medical rehabilitation and therapeutic principles and extensive clinical experience and training to develop individual treatment plans based upon the documented objective findings from the evaluation process. Possess a comprehensive understanding of the clinical presentation following concussive and traumatic experiences, including evaluation and treatment of the range of physical, cognitive and psychosocial sequel impacting functional performance. Possess a knowledge and skill of an array of restorative and compensatory modalities to maximize independent functioning for beneficiaries requiring care for cognitive, psychosocial and physical dysfunction. • Administer treatments involving application of physical agents, using equipment such as a pulsed lavage unit and/or whirlpool bath, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines. Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit. Administer manual therapy techniques including soft tissue mobilization, applying knowledge of mobilization techniques and body physiology. Administer traction to relieve pain, using traction equipment. • Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home. Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modification as required. Provide documented treatment and discharge recommendations to members of the staff in routine, emergency, and special cases as needed. • Provide technical direction to assistants, technicians, aides, students, etc., in the performance of their work activities. Provide input and attend rehabilitation team meetings, seminars, and quality assurance meetings. Participate in peer review activities. Provide therapeutic oversight and support to Occupational/Physical Therapy Assistants, aides, and other clinical support staff. As required, attend rehabilitation team meetings, seminars, and quality assurance meetings during regular work hours. • Present and analyze extensive program data/interrelationships and coordinate the preparation of accurate and reasonable program plans and proposals and be highly skilled in applying complex fact finding, analytical and problem-solving techniques. • Perform Return to Duty examinations. Review and examine effectiveness of the program, collate reports, analyze data and determine best practice methodology path to move forward. Schedule: Monday - Friday  6:00am - 4:00pm - 8, 9 or 10 hour shifts depending on the department's needs No Holidays or Weekends! Requirements Minimum Qualifications: • Degree: Master's degree in physical therapy or Baccalaureate degree in physical therapy for graduates prior to January 1, 2002. • Education: Graduate from a college or university approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). • Experience: Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience within the last 5 years as a physical therapist actively practicing in an outpatient orthopedic or sports physical therapy setting. • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapist. • Life Support Certification: Possess a current AHA OR ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification. • Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
