Founding Engineer

About the Role We are an SF-based team of engineers on a mission to build the future of consumer financial experiences. We believe that personalization, abstraction, and intelligence are the way forward, and we're building LLM-driven solutions to guide users through their finances. As a Founding Engineer, you will be a core part of our small team, building the systems that power our machine learning-driven consumer app from initial prototypes to scalable production systems. What You'll Do Architect, build, and optimize backend systems that power our consumer app. Design and deploy scalable APIs, data pipelines, and model-serving infrastructure. Train, evaluate, and fine-tune machine learning models on financial and behavioral datasets. Collaborate cross-functionally with product and design to rapidly prototype new features. Help shape the technical culture, architecture, and engineering practices of the company. Requirements What We're Looking For We're seeking engineers who can build elegant solutions, ship every day, and iterate toward scale. 2-5+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong backend experience (preferably Python or Rust). Deep familiarity with modern machine learning workflows. Excited to build consumer-scale LLM workflows and deploy them into production. Experience building complex data pipelines; financial data experience is a plus. Scrappy, resourceful, and comfortable with ambiguity.
