Here genre- defining artists from Orson Wells and Lucille Ball to Janis Joplin, the Beach Boys, and Bob Dylan built their legacy.  Our Venice Beach House (VB) was once the creative home to some of the most influential creative luminaries in art and entertainment including Hal Ashby, Oliver Stone, and David Hockney, NeueHouse Venice Beach is a new work, social, and cultural hub for the Venice creative community.  The Role  Responsible for the management of F&B components of the Counter, In Room Dining, Gallery Bar, Programming, and Event Spaces. In addition, this individual is responsible for overseeing the F&B related aspects of events, both NH programmed and private events (beverage orders; staffing; overseeing service; etc.). Finally, the individual must represent NeueHouse as an ambassador of hospitality, warmth and grace in all interaction with our members and them guests.  Requirements The Floor Manager requires someone who is ready to: Responsible for instilling (and maintaining) hospitality standards in all new hires, as well as assisting with the training process.  Daily supervision of the Food and Beverage team, including both café and restaurant teams, with an emphasis on always achieving gracious and efficient service. Our service must be on par with the best programs in the city.  Must maintain quality control on products served at the café, bar, and restaurant, utilizing their aesthetic talents to ensure they are also visually appealing.  Work closely with the F&B Director or Executive Chef to ensure that food service areas/storage are maintained for orderliness, safety and health standards.  Ensure F&B cleaning and maintenance programs are being followed.  Work with other departments in tandem with the F&B Director to enhance house relationships and provide  the optimum member experience with outlet usage and programming.  Assist F&B Manager with recruitment needs  Must maintain inventory standards; including but not limited to, receiving, processing, storing and conducting weekly/monthly inventory counts.  Communicate with events team regarding beverage orders, specifically: Assist with wine selections. Must have solid working understanding of wine list, varietals, etc. Order wine/beer/beverage for events, coordinating with Events Department Assistant Managers.  Communicate with bar team and café team regarding beverage orders, specifically: Assist with milk, coffee, snack, and bar prep supply selections. Must have solid working understanding of beverage offering and execution needs.  Assist in set up of catering equipment/rentals or batching alongside of the event staff.  May be responsible for ‘day of’ event management: organize and direct F&B staff, lead service meeting, supervise flow of service.  General Responsibilities: scheduling, service station assignments, side work assignments, understanding of events run of show Responsible for communicating with bar and kitchen teams regarding semi-private event and conference room catering needs.  Coordinate between members or programming event clients and Food and Beverage leadership to execute financially compelling offerings for programming events  Understand monthly financial targets and what the food and beverage teams can do to help reach those goals  Come up with creative ideas for member experience events including Our House, Eleventh Hour, etc.  Communicate effectively with food and beverage leadership to see through run of show and day of event functions  Being comfortable in conversing with members, guests and potential members regarding NeueHouse and our various programs, pricing structure and amenities.  Must always be a positive and articulate ambassador of the NeueHouse project/brand.  Responsible for opening and/or closing the facilities when deemed necessary. Highly organized and able to flourish while working against deadlines  Ability to coordinate and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.  Excellent interpersonal skills  MS Office Suite including PPT, Excel and efficient with Google Calendar/Docs/Gmail/Chrome  The anticipated salary for this position is $75,000 a year.
