JOB SUMMARY Prince, Ind. is looking for a General Manager to run daily operations for our 50 employee machine shop in Titusville, FL! This location specializes in contract manufacturing primarily in the Aerospace industry with annual revenue of approximately $15 million. This person will maintain full responsibility for P&L of the division and will manage all manufacturing operations including; Production, Engineering and Inspection to achieve maximum profit, growth and investment return goals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to instill Prince’s core values throughout the division. Understands, observes, and enforces all necessary safety procedures within the company. Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives. Manage the operational aspects of the business, driving improvements in cost, quality, training, and delivery. Reviews and analyzes production and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformance with product specifications. Reviews activity, operating and sales reports to determine any required changes to be made in operations. Directs and coordinates production activities with scheduling, engineering, maintenance, and quality control to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and other equipment. Reviews all department purchases related to production to identify areas in which reductions and/or improvements can be made. Interfaces with customers as needed for technical assistance and to improve or maintain business relationships. Recommends new machine purchases and provides justification based on current growth opportunities. Establishes production goals and ensures all plant operations run efficiently. Interprets and enforces all supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws. Perform personnel tasks with the assistance of the Human Resources Department as needed, to effectively maintain departmental staff. Understands and enforces all Prince Industries quality certifications Additional responsibilities or special projects as assigned by management as needed. REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES Excellent communication skills required to effectively communicate in both oral and written form and interact with all levels of the company. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and personnel as it applies to the job duties. Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills required to complete work assignments and prioritize urgent matters. Ability to perform effectively under pressure; involves coping with stress and maintaining a composed, professional manner in all circumstances related to co-workers. Excellent computer skills and analytical approach to diagnose data from ERP and react accordingly. NICE TO HAVES: Prior experience managing machine shop operations such as; P&L, budgeting, CapEx, and margin analysis. Proven experience building and maintaining customer relationships. Experience successfully managing the full Supply Chain lifecycle including but not limited to vendor management, subcontract processing, and purchasing. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Must possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering/manufacturing or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in CNC Machining Minimum of 7 years’ experience in all phases of related production management. Minimum of 5 years' experience with ISO 9001 (ISO 13485 / AS 9100 preferred) Minimum of 5 years' management experience Certification, formal training or continued education strongly desired. Proficiency in all computer-related software packages (Microsoft Office, etc.), and additional technologies as appropriate. PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to access and navigate the production facility. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
