All Around Children is currently accepting applications for a Custodian to add to our growing team at our Gold (SUTQ), NAC-accredited childcare and preschool center in Middlefield, Ohio. In this role, you will support the center in various tasks. Your responsibilities will include daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules including but not limited to classrooms, office areas, bathrooms, storage areas, outdoor playgrounds, and entrances. Responsibilities Perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming. Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, classrooms, and other common areas. Complete routine trash removal. Assist with inventory management, including ordering and receiving of cleaning supplies. Maintain positive relationships with children, staff and parents, and communicate effectively with all members of the team. Attend and participate in professional development and training sessions as needed. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work preferred. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. Must be able to pass a background check. Experience in facilities maintenance is a plus. At least 1 year of child care experience in a licensed ODJFS child care program Ability to pass a BCI/FBI background check and maintain current physical health standards. Comfortable working with children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 12 years. Reliable and dependable with strong work habits; expected to be in place and ready for work at scheduled times, with minimal tardiness or absenteeism. Reliable and compassionate, capable of fostering a warm, nurturing environment for children and families. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. Displays a friendly and positive demeanor, with a creative and energetic approach to work. Commitment to maintaining a clean and professional appearance.
