The successful candidate will perform a variety of non-licensed mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance and repair on our preschools throughout the Lowcountry. The handyperson/maintenance technician is a full-time, year-round, non-exempt employee of Friends of the High Line. This roles schedule will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:30am-2:30pm, and Thursday and Friday 2:30pm-10:30pm. The Parks hours change in the winter, so Thursday and Fridays will then be 12:30pm-8:30pm. As a member of the Facilities Department, the maintenance technician will report to the Senior Maintenance Manager and the Director of Facilities and Maintenance and will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the High Line's unique systems and infrastructural elements including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and security functions on the High Line park, as well as the High Line offices and associates spaces.
