As a Branch Manager for Merit Restorations, your primary role will be managing the daily operations of the office, including direct oversight of office and field personnel. You will serve as Estimator and/or Project Manager of Large Claims as needed; and/or any other role needed for the branch’s health. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. OFFICE STRATEGY & BUDGETING Develop and implement office strategy with management team Manages budget Review profit margins and handle concerns as they arise Review and monitor billing and cash collections on a weekly and monthly basis to meet expectations Review and monitor branch health on a *weekly* basis   CLAIMS OVERSIGHT Branch Manager will distribute/assign claims as they come in to their staff Perform weekly reviews with project managers with a heavy focus on open jobs and receivables Relentlessly Monitor performance metrics Handles warranty complaints Monitor and develop program/client relationships with insurance companies Field sales and other inquiry phone calls as needed Communicate “Program” changes to the entire claims management team as they arise Deal with attorney on collections and legal matters Invoicing approval and submission Supplement efforts in either ECS or Core Claims as needed Serve as Estimator for large losses as needed Serve as a Project Manager for large losses as needed STAFFING & FACILTIIES Conduct annual performance reviews Handle staffing issues as needed Forecast staffing needs Insurance facility maintenance and upkeep (MIT shop, office area, etc.) Review payroll submission, commission payments, and subcontractor payments Requirements SUPERVISORY RESPONSIILTIES: This position has supervisory responsibilities. Additional Core Objectives: Visits new assignments/jobs, interfaces with the client, and sells the job. Scopes the damages at the site, creates an estimate on a database, and submits it to the insurance company/property management company for approval. Coordinates the repairs of the property using our contractors and ensures the project gets completed to the Merit standards. Manages deadlines, progress, and quality on multiple projects simultaneously. Estimate each loss using a 3rd party estimating software, Xactimate. Work closely with insured and interested parties. Calls or meets customer to ensure satisfaction and collects payment for work completed. Ensure each project achieves a minimum gross profit margin as determined by company standards. Communicate any change orders and insurance supplements. Assist Accounting Manager as needed (job cost, invoicing, mortgage companies, etc) Build and maintain business relationships with insurance adjusters, brokers, and TPA’s. Participate in the on-call rotation, requiring evening and weekend point of contact for any new losses, as determined by the rotating schedule Client Development Be the “face” of our company in the market specific to the unit Maintain contact/relationships with key customers Seek alliances to improve performance Support staff in key client situations and event Meet or exceed compliance to Carrier Program SLAs Meet or exceed property owner expectations for communication and service Other duties and activities as required Excellent communication and customer service skills, providing compassion and empathy to our customers. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to remain calm under pressure and stress. Ability to work independently with exceptional organization and time management skills.
