Compensation: $49,108.80/yr Worksite Location: South Campus Overview / Job Summary: The Faculty for the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program is responsible for teaching and evaluating students in the EMT curriculum, ensuring compliance with state and national standards. The instructor will provide a blend of theoretical knowledge, technical skill training, and practical application to prepare students for a career in emergency medical services. This is a Full-time Exempt position, working a minimum of 40 hours per week, including evening or weekend classes as necessary. Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to: Develops and implements course syllabi and lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Delivers instruction in various formats including face-to-face, hybrid, and online settings. Assesses student performance through practical evaluations, written exams, and skills assessments to ensure competency. Maintains accurate and complete records of student attendance, progress, and evaluations. Fosters a positive learning environment through effective communication, mentorship, and support for all students. Engages in continuous professional development and stays updated on industry trends and best practices in emergency medical services. This position primarily focuses on ensuring students achieve the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles as EMTs while promoting a rigorous academic atmosphere. Requirements Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills Needed: Must hold a current EMT or Paramedic certification, required. A minimum of an Associate's degree in a related field, required. Minimum of two years of experience in emergency medical services (EMS), required. Previous teaching experience in an adult education environment preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and support students. Knowledge of current EMT education guidelines and accreditation standards. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners to enhance program offerings. CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Reporting directly to the Vocational Nursing Program Director, this role requires expertise in the subject matter while implementing clinical instruction that aligns with an approved course syllabus. Compensation: $49,108.80 /yr Worksite Location: South Campus Overview / Job Summary: The Faculty for Patient Care Technician (PCT) & Phlebotomy/EKG is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering high-quality instruction in the PCT program. This includes creating lesson plans, assessing student performance, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure that the curriculum meets current industry standards. Knowledge of the following curriculum is vital- CLIA waived laboratory testing, highly skilled in venipuncture and capillary draws, order of draw, laboratory safety and infection control, electrocardiography procedures (12 lead EKGs), 5-step rhythm interpretations (rhythm, rate, p wave, PR interval, and QRS duration).    The intent of this position is to prepare students to become skilled and competent Patient Care Technicians and Phlebotomy/EKG Technicians. Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to: Creating and uploading appropriate course syllabi for each course to the Learning Management System. Keeping students informed and updated concerning course content, requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance requirements. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the healthcare field and regulations is preferred.
