This is Bobbie MG, my faithful adventure partner of the past three years. This little charmer is in very decent shape for being 55 years old, a true British classic sports car. Bobbie starts every time and runs decently, and the four-speed manual transmission shifts really nicely. The body and interior are nice for a driver. The car wears charmingly faded deep red metallic paint; it was previously blue. The convertible top's in great shape. Tires are older but lots of tread. Interesting trivia: For the 1970 model year only, American MGBs had split rear bumpers. This is one of those cars. It shows around 20,000 miles, true mileage not known but the odometer moves slowly. This is a collector car you can improve even as you enjoy it. I am only selling because I have too many cars and not enough time. It's hard to find any running car under $6,000 these days, let alone a classic convertible. Sure it will need more love than a Honda to keep it happy, but that is part of the fun in this hobby. There's a great local MG club for support and some terrific regional meets to enjoy the community. This car has been serviced by London Auto, an excellent specialty shop in Falls Church, and I invested a few grand to get the car where I wanted it: spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor were replaced and the timing set and carbs synched in 2023, and the clutch master cylinder and thermostat housing were replaced and the brakes flushed. I have receipts for all work done since I bought the car. I'm glad to consider offers and trades. I put a bit into this car and want it to be enjoyed by someone who'll have good fun with it.
