Amazing Mercedes S550 - immaculate/low miles - $8,995 (McLean)

The time has come to sell my Dad’s Mercedes S550: he has owned it for over 16 years - and is buying a Tesla SUV - this car is a little too low to get in and out of at his age. Let’s start where we should - this is an immaculate car - you really won’t find better. He bought it in 2009 and has taken care of it ever since. It has been maintained with no expense spared: and it shows. He drives it around town, to and from the golf course and then down to Florida each winter to their house in Sarasota (for more golf!) So it does get a good run a couple of times a year, but generally it is just around town. Mechanically the car is as near perfect as is possible. Of course there are no warning lights on, or any issues or muddles. Every switch works as it should. The engine is serviced religiously every 3k miles with Mobil1 0W-40 full synthetic and a Bosch OEM filter. The brakes are in great condition, the rear were replaced last year, the front pads were replaced with the last service this week - so yes, it has brand new front pads, together with an oil change. The front air springs were replaced in 2022 and the suspension compressor was replaced last year. The local shop recommended the tires be replaced, not by wear but by age (apparently there were all 2019) so all four tires have been changed this week also ready for the new owner. My father wants to pass the car on in the very best condition possible. Mechanically this must be a 9.5/10. The interior of the car is pretty perfect. Sure, there are really minor marks on the seats from minor wear and tear, but just the basic patina that you would get from a car a couple of years old. The headed and cooled seats work very effectively, as does the main car AC and HVAC. Every function in the car works as it should - even the CD player (6 CD magazine) works. I would mark the interior as a solid 9/10. The exterior of the car is also pretty amazing. All the panel gaps are right and there is no evidence of paint anywhere. The doors are all soft close and all work correctly. The hood has really minor stone chips here and there (really minor) and the rear bumper has a minor mark/stuff right at the bottom due to DC parking. But other than that, the car looks like new. It has just been detailed with a ceramic coating and it simply pops. We have all the original manuals that came with the car (some still wrapped - as new) and 4 working OEM keys. When did you ever buy a car with 4 keys? The car just passed VA Inspection last month and has a new VA emissions today. As already mentioned, it has new front brakes and 4 brand new tires and a full service - all this week. The car drives like new. There are no squeaks, rattles or groans, just an ultra smooth Mercedes glide as you would expect. The transmission is smooth and the overall drive is faultless. CL is littered with ‘distressed’ car sales, Indeed 95% plus of Mercedes always need $5-10k of immediate maintenance (hence the reason for sale!): this one is the exact opposite. Price wise, everyone wants a deal - I get this. KBB suggests a S550 in good condition should sell privately for circa $9,500, and Carfax suggests a figure a shade over $10,500. I am pragmatic and don’t want to conduct countless viewings so I have priced it $1,000 below the average of these at $9,000 which appears to be a really great deal, especially with a full $1,250 service (including brakes) and an additional $1,100 of tires all done this week, and an new inspection and emissions. Basically you won’t find a better car on CL that this one, and you won’t find a better deal on CL that this. You know it: I know it - so be quick and make it yours.
