I purchased the car a little over a year ago and trailered it back from California. During my ownership, it truly has been an occasional driver as I have other vehicles. But now that I have decided to sell, I finally carved the time to complete a lot of maintenance that you can rest assured will bring a lot of enjoyable driving pleasure: Front end rebuild with the following new parts: upper control arms lower inner and outer thrust arms inner and outer tie rods sway bar links wheel bearings wheel flanges CV axles driver side intermediate shaft bearing air struts four wheel alignment new tires with from Discount Tires with the road hazard protection package that follows the tires. They also replaced all four TPS as the tire tech confessed to breaking one during tire installation. Brakes: Power stop front and rear brake kit of rotors, brake pads, and hardware removal of each caliper front and rear to thoroughly clean and rebuild complete flush of the entire brake system with new DOT4 fluid Engine: complete flush of coolant new thermostat oil filter/cooler housing gasket replaced to eliminate common oil leak oil flush and change with Liquimoly additive I normally would have recorded my work to upload to my DIY YouTube channel as proof of my work, just didn't have the time, but I took a good deal of photos to document. The last thing I will do regarding maintenance will be to replace the motor and transmission mounts. When the two motor mounts expire, they collapse thus leaving the engine not suspended, rather resting on the mount housing itself. This sends annoying vibrations through body of the car. Mounts are due to arrive 29 JUN and I will tackle that just as soon as I can make the time. If I have time and energy, I'll give it another machine waxing as I've already thoroughly decontaminated, clay barred, compounded, polish, and waxed a little over 7 mos ago (the car has been garaged 100% during my ownership). On my second order of replacement middle and rear splash shields that cover the bottom of the car... ...hoping the second try turns out to be a fit - literally. The car has Bluetooth, but it only connects phone calls. I found a dongle that allows both calls and audio so music can be played via your phone. There is also a custom audio sub-woofer box and amplifier that was installed to mesh with the factory system and the factory speakers with upgraded. Notice, I've taken the time to post photos of a clean vehicle both inside and out - am very meticulous about any vehicle I own. The current wheels are aftermarket ones and I've honestly never preferred them as I'm partial to factory. However, I had them refurbished at Alloy Wheel Repair that completely removed rash and I changed the color. Well that was about $600 down the drain when I made the fool-hearty decision to alloy my son to drive the car. So not only did he return some rash, but he hit a pothole. Alloy Wheel Repair was too busy at the time and gave me a 4 week turn around time to get the wheel back. I found another vendor that repaired the wheel and promised me they could match the color... ...the color is not matched and thoroughly angered me!!! I was hoping to find factory 20s anyway. There's probably more "here and there" things I've done that I'm sure I'm forgetting. So to wrap the ad, this is not a rare vehicle, but it is certainly not a common find on the streets. Every drive that involves parking anywhere ALWAYS results in a minimum "wow, nice car" to a maximum of a 15-20 min conversation of "what is that? I've never seen that before." lol! I've done a few visits to Caffeine and Octane and the car gets its fair share of attention. :-) So no, my car isn't perfect, but it is an enthusiast's car and as an enthusiast, I have added nearly 10s of thousands of dollars or worth and reliability for the next owner. If you think I'm exaggerating, call a REPUTABLE independent shop or any MB dealership and ask for a quote on my list. The price is firm and it is financed with Navy Federal Credit Union. Any transaction will to finalize purchase will take place at the bank so there's no confusion about transfer of ownership, title, or otherwise.
