We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our maternity practice in Howell, NJ. The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting both patients and healthcare providers, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality care in a warm, patient-centered environment. Key Responsibilities:  Greet and check in patients, ensuring all paperwork is completed and accurate. Assist healthcare providers with prenatal, postnatal, and gynecological examinations. Prepare exam rooms for patient visits, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available and sterilized. Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight. Collect and process laboratory specimens as needed. Provide patient education on prenatal care, postpartum recovery, and other maternity-related health topics. Manage patient medical records and ensure accurate data entry into the electronic health record (EHR) system. Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient inquiries. Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing, and coordinating patient referrals. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health and safety standards. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent is required; Medical Assistant certification is a plus. Previous experience in maternity or women’s health practice is preferred but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate demeanor. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical office software. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
