About the Role The Shift Manager EVS will assist the EVS Manager in implementing and organizing the overall operation of the EVS Department. The shift manager is responsible for directly overseeing daily operations on an assigned shift. Position Responsibilities ·         Review EVS work to ensure productivity is efficient through periodic review of facility cleanliness to ensure optimal quality and customer service levels are met. ·         Responsible for ensuring safety of team members in handling and storage of all chemicals used in the performance of their tasks ·         Works to ensure the safety of team members in handling and storage of all chemicals used the performance of their task. ·         Supervise, plan and schedule EVS activities for the EVS Supervisors as directed ·         Responsible for assisting the Manager EVS in hiring, scheduling, training, developing, evaluating and coaching ·         Fully utilize and monitor all operating systems to ensure proper accountability of employees, supplies and procedures. ·         Coordinates efforts with other departments to ensure public areas and storage areas remain fully functional. ·         Ensures the necessary equipment, machinery & supplies are readily available to enable the Department to function efficiently ·         Ensure all OSHA and compliance training is administered ·         Performs functions related to hiring and staffing of EVS department ·         Properly handles guest or maintenance request and repeatedly follows up to guarantee these things are completed to Ocean Casino Resort standards ·         Responsible for completing daily property inspections as directed by manager ·         Exercise financial responsibility in monitoring both regular and overtime payroll expense. ·         Maintains confidentiality of Ocean Casino Resort proprietary information ·         Performs all related and compatible duties as assigned   Essential Functions ·           Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise & stress related to servicing customers in a fast-paced environment ·           Must be able to stand for an entire shift & be able to move throughout the casino/hotel areas ·           Must be able to work holidays, weekends, & flexible shifts/hours ·           Ability to effectively communicate in English (Read, Write, Speak & Understand) ·           Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds   Requirements What’s Required ·          High School Diploma or equivalent required ·          Minimum of 5 years of EVS or Housekeeping experience in a high-volume resort ·          Strong supervisory, management, planning & organizational skills ·          Must demonstrate good verbal & interpersonal communication skills   Benefits Free meal on shift Training & Development Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan (401k,) Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) Paid Time Off The targeted starting salary is $55,000.00 annually.
