2005 Subaru Legacy GT 5-Speed Manual - REBUILT TRANSMISSION - $2,500 (Manassas, VA)

I posted this car in April 2025 for $5k and since then I've put 3,000 more miles on it. Posting again July 7th for $3k. Runs great, I drive it every day, it just leaks an embarrassing amount of oil. $3k obo it has to go. Reduced to $2,500 7/19/25! Original listing below: I've loved this car for a long time but it's time to go. I'm the second owner, bought it in 2007. It's old so it has problems but it still runs great, turbo pulls hard. I drive it every day and love it. This is the 5SPD stick/manual GT version but not the Limited, so it doesn't have leather seats or the sunroof. Transmission was rebuilt by Aamco at 168k miles. Some gear whine but pulls great in every gear. Could use a fluid flush. Clutch grips perfectly. New cat-back exhaust. New spark plugs. New brakes. New Starter. New wheels hubs. New blower motor. New driver's window motor. Valid Virginia inspection and emissions. ECU flashed with a COBB AccessPort to the gentler 91 Octane map back in 2007 when I bought it. The COBB AccessPort comes with it but the backlight doesn't work anymore so it's really hard to see the screen. Extensive service history. Full disclosure of problems: - It's leaking a ton of oil now. Like a quart every 500 miles or so. Probably the banjo bolt on the turbo. I haven't had the time to fix it. - The "blend air" motors for the automatic climate don't work so I have the glove box disassembled so I can manually change the heat/cool and other settings. I have the actuators but haven't disassembled the dash yet to put the driver's side one in. The glove box and trim is in a bag in the trunk. It's currently set to defrost/full cool. - Air bag light has been on for awhile, I think it's for the passenger side. Still passes inspection with this light on. - On again/off again check engine light for an EVAP system problem. Might just be the gas cap. This blinks the cruise light too for some reason. CEL is currently on but it'll probably turn off again soon like it has been doing for months now. - Shakes a bit from 65-75mph. Probably wheel balance. - The driver's side rear door doesn't open from the outside, you have to reach around. Haven't taken off the panel to fix this. - Passenger's side rear door sticks and doesn't open sometimes? Hasn't been a problem since the winter but wanted to disclose. - Gas door doesn't pop open anymore. I have the mechanism taped off and just pry it with the key. - Hood doesn't pop up properly anymore, you have to prop the release latch. I have the perfect tool to do so and will include it. Or you need someone to pull the latch while someone else lifts the hood. - Other little problems like the seat is ripped up by velcro cargo shorts, some of the plastic for the seat adjusters are broken. Rear cup holder doesn't pop out right. Paint on the spoiler is start to show age. - One small accident when someone rear-ended me on Rt 50 in Chantilly 10 years ago. Really just bumper damage. Professionally repaired by their insurance. Even with all these problems I hate to give up this car. It's an absolute joy to drive. Great sound system with subwoofer. 6 CD changer. Starts right up every time and runs great, always has. Come see and drive it. Last of the old era of cars before everything was electronically controlled. Clean title.
