Production Managers at LandCare are crucial members of our operations team. Production Managers lead the frontline crews to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety while creating beautiful landscapes that inspire our clients. This position oversees production planning, cost estimation, materials procurement, and is directly involved with the hiring and training of crew members. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? Landscape Quality and Efficiency Partner with Account Manager and clients to perform landscape quality audits to review landscape quality, task execution, identify maintenance needs, and recommend enhancement opportunities Create detailed job service plans for each client using LandCare’s Aspire software system Provide production planning, oversight and guidance to supervisors and team members on client jobsites to drive customer satisfaction with timely and effective service Identify opportunities to improve production methods and provide additional training to team members Understand and contribute to profitability goals through proper planning of monthly operations, including management of labor and materials costs and review of financial reports and results Promoting Culture, Training, and Safety Oversee hiring and staffing needs of the business to ensure teams are appropriately staffed Demonstrate ongoing leadership of a safety-oriented culture and hold all team members accountable for following safety procedures Educate and train crew members on a variety of safety topics Continuously mentor supervisors to lead teams and develop crew member talent Salary range is commensurate with experience, with most successful candidates ranging from $60,000-80,000 plus annual bonus, a company vehicle, and other benefits. RESPONSIBILITIES: -Taking direction from crew leads and operations manager -Loading up vans with materials needed each morning -Unloading vans at the end of each day -Driving to event sites with fellow crew members from the warehouse -Installing lighting displays on residential and/or commercial buildings for the holidays -Installing lighting displays for events, which may include building truss structures, hanging pendants, and setting up light fixtures -Climbing ladders, walking on rooftops, and ensuring safe installation practices -Lifting and carrying large and sometimes heavy items -Working in the warehouse, as needed PERKS AND BENEFITS: -$20/hr -You will become OSHA-certified during training (at our expense), and you will be able to take that with you to other jobs in the future -Team bonding party at the end of the season -Hard work but rewarding projects WORK SCHEDULE: 20 - 60hrs per week, October through January. We run crews seven days a week, with the possible opportunity to work up to 5 days per week for each crew member. You will need to report to our warehouse in San Diego next to the Sports Arena and go out to jobs from there in our work vehicles. Shift hours vary from 2-14 hour shifts, depending on the nature of the job (There is mandatory overtime on some days, and we pay 1.5x for any hours worked over 8 hour per day, and/or over 40 hrs per week). Day shifts and night shifts are available as we run crews nearly 24/7.
