Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Technician (Washington, DC)

We are a locally based property management company focused on delivering responsive, resident-first service across a portfolio of apartments and townhomes in D.C.’s most vibrant neighborhoods. Key Responsibilities: Daily Tasks: - Complete maintenance request assigned each day. - Take pictures when work is completed and provide updates if completion the same day is not possible. - Update status of maintenance request in the Appfolio system. - Manage and maintain worksheets, logs, phone calls, emails and messages efficiently. - Transport replacement parts and tools needed to complete maintenance requests. - Retrieve keys from properties key boxes when necessary for requests - Assist tenants with inquiries, questions and general assistance. - Maintain an organized and tidy work area. - Maintain an organized inventory of Wydown materials and equipment Properties: - Enter service requests via Appfolio, if non-reported issues are present when completing maintenance requests. - Confirm property is secured when leaving the property, single unit or high rise. - Keep materials and supplies organized in the Maintenance Office. Security and Emergency Response: - Provide lock out assistance during emergency requests. - Provide emergency maintenance assistance for emergency requests.
