Share---Looking for PART TIME dog handlers to staff at both our Greenpoint and Navy Yard facilities. Knowledge of dog behavior and customer service skills a must. We are a company that truly loves dogs and takes great pride in providing exceptional customer service and care to our clients. We employ people who are positive, upbeat and fun but also take the job seriously and uphold our reputation. You will need to be a pup loving responsible adult who is reliable and needs little micro-managing. POSITION SUMMARY: You will oversee 15-25 dogs in a group play environment. We do not separate dogs by size so you must be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes socializing together. Expect to be on your feet most of your shift interacting with the dogs and keeping them engaged. You will be cleaning up a lot of pee and poop. You need to be confident around dogs in order to be able to direct them effectively and should have knowledge of body language and dog behavior. At times you will be the point of contact for front desk interactions and phone calls. You must be sociable and comfortable interacting with the human client as well. We are looking for someone to take 3 or 4 shifts weekly(shifts schedule stays the same week to week). Shift times are; Monday - Friday Open Shift 7:45am - 2pm Second Shift 2pm - 8pm Close Shift 2pm - 10pm Saturday - Sunday Open Shift: 9am - 2pm Second Shift 2pm - 7pm Close Shift 2pm - 10pm PERKS: Paid 30min breaks after 5hr shifts | Bring your dog to work | Paid sick days | Flexible Time Off PAY: $18 PER HOUR - PAY IS ON THE BOOKS (not cash!) -this means you must have a Social Security # .
