Building Superintendent (Brooklyn)

We are seeking a full-time Resident Superintendent for a 200 unit cooperative building located on Avenue S in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will be reliable, organized, and approachable, with strong communication and time management skills. The Superintendent will serve as a trusted point of contact for residents and play a key role in maintaining the building’s operations and safety. Responsibilities include: Overseeing the building’s infrastructure (boiler, water lines, drain pipes, etc.) Coordinating with management and outside vendors for repairs and projects Performing basic maintenance and repairs (painting, minor plumbing, valve replacements, etc.) Ensuring the building remains secure, clean, and well-maintained Managing 3 on site porters Requirements: Prior experience as a building superintendent or in building maintenance preferred Hands-on repair skills (plumbing, painting, general maintenance) Strong interpersonal and organizational skills English & Spanish speaking a plus
