Summary of Position: The Storeroom Clerk is responsible for storekeeping and receiving functions. Duties include receiving and verifying all food and beverage stores against requisitions prior to storage, making direct issues, and maintaining records of all transactions. The Storeroom Clerk ensures the storeroom is maintained in accordance with established standards, prepares necessary reports, and assists with Supply Room operations as needed. Key Responsibilities o Coordinate with the Storeroom Manager regarding all assigned duties o Order products based on daily requisitions and stock par levels o Receive product deliveries o Verify product quality, quantity, and price with vendors at the time of delivery o Return incorrect or poor-quality products, if necessary, at the time of delivery o Store products using the FIFO method and rotate stock as needed o Maintain product quality standards and dispose of waste as necessary o Complete daily outgoing requisitions, ensuring accuracy, quality, and quantity o Deliver products to various hotel departments o Conduct monthly inventory on the last day of each month o Maintain a clean and orderly storeroom in accordance with Food and Beverage Policies o Lift up to 50lbs o Enter incoming delivery invoices and outgoing requisitions into inventory software o Perform other duties as directed by the Storeroom Manager and Director of Purchasing Minimum Education: o High School diploma or equivalent Minimum Experience: o Minimum 18 years of age o Proficiency in English, both verbal and written communication o Preferred candidate with experience in food cooking and storage Skills/Abilities o Competence in basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook o Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills o Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and a cooperative attitude o Professional appearance and a polite, positive demeanor o Excellent reasoning and problem-solving abilities o Ability to maintain a professional appearance in accordance with hotel standards Benefits o Competitive wage and comprehensive benefits package o Eligible employees can have access to comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental o Eligible employees can have access to a pension fund after a year o Eligible employees can be provided with a uniform o 401(k) retirement savings plan to secure your future o Opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the hotel o Work in a supportive and dynamic environment that fosters professional and personal development Application Process Interested candidates can apply online or apply in person at the Hotel Captain Cook HR office.
