Design Techniques, Inc. is seeking a dependable Sign Installer to join our team. The installer will travel to job sites to install a variety of signage we manufacture. Working closely with an Install Manager, you will plan and execute each project according to contracted services and sign types. This position requires excellent time management, strong communication, and problem-solving skills. Work is performed at ground level and at various heights while ensuring compliance with company and federal safety policies. Travel throughout Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Key Responsibilities - Install signage made of wood, aluminum, and steel on poles ranging from 3’ to 50’ in height. - Prepare and pour footings for sign installation, including augering, digging, and working with cement, sand, or Sakrete. - Perform sign maintenance and service: cleaning, painting, vinyl application, wood/aluminum cutting, and re-installs. - Load, secure, and transport materials, supplies, and tools to job sites using a company truck and trailer. - Complete installation and service work according to work order specifications and within allotted timeframes. - Accurately fill out work orders, service orders, and time cards, including travel time and materials used. - Maintain assigned truck and trailer—keeping them clean, organized, and well-stocked—and perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance. - Follow all safety practices, billboard procedures, and applicable laws for digging and job site operations. - Return excess materials to the warehouse after each project. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent. - Valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CDL. - Willingness to travel overnight as needed. - Comfortable working at various heights and in outdoor conditions. - Strong multi-tasking, time management, and communication skills. The ideal person is a stickler for detail, proactive, skilled in general maintenance tasks, and thoughtful as to ensure that the property is continuously in pristine condition for our guests. The role is primarily responsible for completing interior installations or repairs to brand standards as well as keeping operations managers informed of potential repairs, actions being taken, and the status of any major maintenance projects. What the Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician role looks like: Perform onsite scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and follow up repairs to Class 6-8 trucks in a mobile/field environment.  Perform Emergency Road Service Calls.  Respond to call center dispatched scheduled and unscheduled service and maintenance requests.  Diagnose and repair various types of truck equipment including, but not limited to the following: Electrical/Brake/Cooling Systems, Starters/Alternators, Air conditioning systems, Fan clutches, Engine electronics, Power steering systems, Engines (gas and diesel), Transmissions (manual and automatic), Clutches, Differentials, etc.  Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges.  Use basic hand tools, precision instruments, as well as power tools, welding equipment, and jacks.  Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly.  Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most standard repair times.  Obtain parts from approved local and national vendors as necessary for the repairs to be performed.  Maintain company issued service truck, conduct safety checks and pre/post trip inspections.  Perform other duties as assigned. What our ideal candidate looks like: Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Diesel Technician on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.  Proficiency in DOT inspections and air brake repairs.  Excellent verbal communication skills.
