WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Background in vehicle repair. Detailed knowledge of ADL products and procedures. Certified and licensed Mechanic Minimum 5 year’s experience on ADL Enviro range of low emission buses or similar. Communicative skills in written, oral, and electronic. Experience of vehicle maintenance procedures and operation. Have a high level of electrical knowledge and experience, coupled with strong fault diagnostic capabilities Hold a Full Valid Driving Licence and ideally hold a current PCV or Commercial Driving Licence A good level of computer literacy is required to operate laptop diagnostic equipment. As the position will be “field based” the successful applicant will need to be self-motivated and able to communicate with Customers and Colleagues at all levels. A good understanding of modern EPA diesel engines and exhaust gas processors including DEF injection, pneumatic braking systems including anti-lock, automatic gearboxes, multiplex electrics using J1939 protocol and the principles of electricity. Be able to identify and describe the function of electrical components, read circuit diagrams and carry out fault tree diagnosis.  Must have own tools. As an HVAC Service Technician in St. Louis, MO, you will educate consumers and existing clients about our company and our products in a manner that leaves a favorable impression, thereby obtaining sales for HVAC projects and products both commercially and residentially directly to the end user. Summary: Primarily responsible for performing repairs and maintenance to a variety of equipment including refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, compressors, light commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, and humidifiers. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Check in with office for scheduled jobs after the completion of each job and at the end of each workday. During and or at the end of each task fully complete all company provided forms possible. Responsible for time management of jobs scheduled each day. Check in with client at the beginning and end of each task to make sure they are aware of everything going on throughout the entire visit. Ability to adjust your communications to provide the best customer experience possible. Ability to create detailed job notes in the customer’s account for future reference. Ability to both teach and learn by sharing thoughts/experiences with your coworkers in meetings and in one-to-one interaction. Understands basic refrigeration cycle to include identifying components in refrigeration circuit, understanding how each component works, diagnosing problems in the refrigeration circuit, using manifold gauge set, pressure/temperature chart and temperature measuring devices for routine maintenance and to troubleshoot. Understands refrigeration recovery, evacuation, and charging. Understands basic electron theory, how electricity travels, AC and DC currents, single phase and three phase circuits, and series and parallel circuits. Ability to read basic wiring diagrams. Understanding of Ohms Law. Ability to use multi-meters to read voltage, current and resistance values. Must be able to troubleshoot basic electrical circuits. Understands the process of treating air to simultaneously control its temperature, humidity, and distribution. Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings.
