TechOp Solutions is seeking a skilled Export Control Specialist The ideal candidate will have a solid working knowledge of export regulations (e.g., ITAR, USML, EAR, OFAC) and a proven ability to classify technologies, items, and services in alignment with regulatory standards. They will be a detail-oriented and solutions-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and contributes effectively to both independent tasks and team-based projects. (Potential for telework, but candidates must be willing and available to work on-site up to 5 days per week if required.) Responsibilities: • Perform self-determined classification of items, services, and technologies into ECCNs and USML categories. • Identify applicable export exemptions and licensing requirements. • Draft assessments, briefings, technical evaluations, and regulatory interpretations. • Maintain and update compliance databases with review data and findings. • Support the development of training materials and outreach products. • Provide programmatic and technical input for reviews and policy development. • Performs additional duties as assigned. Requirements • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in export compliance (ITAR/EAR/USML//ECCNS) • Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred). • Excellent reading comprehension, writing and communication skills that include the ability to effectively communicate with personnel of various backgrounds • Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI preferred. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TechOp, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The tentative wage for this role is $75,000-$95,000.

This is a full-time, in-office role ideal for professionals with a strong background in ocean freight operations, customs compliance, Cargo Wise and international logistics coordination.
