Flexibility is essential to ensure proper coverage during high-demand periods. • Hours: Full-time, standard business hours; some flexibility may be required during large company events. • Location: 90% onsite with large client 10% at midtown MSP office We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our clients network infrastructure. This role is essential for ensuring reliable connectivity, network security, and overall system performance. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, experience with enterprise-level networking technologies, and the ability to work collaboratively with service desk team. Technical Support & Ticket Management • Monitor, maintain, and support servers, networks, and related infrastructure. • Install, configure, and manage firewalls, routers, switches, and other networking devices. • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, latency, or bandwidth issues. • Implement and manage network security protocols, including VPNs, intrusion prevention, and access controls. • Perform regular network maintenance, upgrades, and patch management. • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery preparedness for critical network systems. • Document network configurations, changes, and procedures. • Work with vendors and service providers to manage connectivity and troubleshoot issues. • Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated networking incidents. • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Client Interaction & Reporting • Act as an onsite liaison between the client and MSP team to maintain open communication and proactive support. • Provide insights or recommendations on system improvements or risk areas. • Regularly report project progress, ticket trends, and any escalations to MSP leadership. Documentation and Reporting: • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps. • Document completed project tasks and ensure proper handover to client and or service desk team. • Provide feedback to improve processes and enhance client satisfaction. REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer, Network Administrator, or similar role. • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, etc.). • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar networking equipment. • Familiarity with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network monitoring tools. • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Relevant certifications required ◦ Cisco Certification (CCST & CCNA) • Preferred but not required knowledge and experience with: ◦ Fortinet ◦ Clearpass ◦ Palo Alto ◦ VMWAre ◦ SCCM ◦ Microsoft Azure ◦ Linux skills IF INTERESTED, EMAIL US WITH SUMMARY: NETWORK ENGINEER [YOUR FULL NAME] WITH PDF ATTACHMENT OF YOUR MOST UP TO DATE RESUME. We also need someone who can focus on computer hardware repairs, rebuilds and custom computer creation. The work environment is fun and open.
