We have a full-time, day shift open for a dependable and service-oriented individual who wants to utilize their skillsets in various handyman projects! Qualified candidates must be professional, outgoing, and friendly. The goal of the position is to provide the company with a clean, well-maintained, and fully functioning environment. To accomplish this goal, the responsibilities of the building handyman/contractor perform light maintenance in a different type of handyman/contracting needs for assigned buildings under proper supervision. Duties Light handyman/contractor services in various offices/work areas to include, but not limited to: Light Carpentry. Moving Furniture Minor Plumbing Minor Electrical Weather Striping Masonry Repair Various Painting Repairs Flooring Repairs Drywall Patching Door and Window Repair Ceiling Tile Repair and Replacement Maintain clean and orderly maintenance service areas and equipment. Arrive on time and ready to perform shift duties. Requirements Handyman and/or Contractor work experience required. Full-time Hours Monday-Friday Must be 18 years old and successfully pass a background check. Must be reliable, willing to work at a fast pace and be very detailed. Ability to listen to customer requests and follow supervisor’s directions. Follow building or customer specific COVID protocols. HS Diploma or GED. Use of personal vehicle to pick up supplies and transferring them from building to building. Basic electrical knowledge and are able to perform light electrical and plumbing. Moving furniture Personal tools required ( special tools if needed will be provided by client ) Pay rate 20 per hour. The physical requirements of this position include: walking, standing, bending, reaching, utilizing contracting equipment and supplies; lift up to 35 lbs. Working closely with the Service Manager and Community Manager, you’ll bring both hands-on skill and heart for service to every interaction.  Key Responsibilities  Maintain the overall cleanliness and functionality of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, and shared spaces  Ensure trash is removed regularly from office areas, community perimeters, and trash chutes/compactors  Prepare units for new residents by supporting make-ready efforts—including trash removal and minor repairs  Clean and prepare available apartments and models to our standard of excellence  Troubleshoot and repair a range of maintenance issues, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry  Assist with maintenance needs across the community and escalate larger concerns to the Service or Community Manager  Maintain curb appeal through daily visual inspections and proactive upkeep  Support emergency response efforts including hazardous weather, flooding, or fire events  Keep the maintenance shop clean, organized, and stocked  Collaborate with office staff on community projects or resident needs as requested  Embrace our shared responsibility culture—where every team member plays a role in safety, service, and success  Requirements What You Bring  • High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in property maintenance is a plus  • Working knowledge of light carpentry, drywall repair and texture, and painting  • Comfort with troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, and mechanical issues (certification a plus)  • A keen eye for detail and a proactive mindset toward safety and presentation  • Customer service focus with a positive, team-first attitude  • Ability to multitask and shift priorities in a fast-paced, people-centered environment  • Computer literacy helpful, but not required—willingness to learn is key  • A sense of pride, ownership, and care in everything you do  • Driver’s license and vehicle required based on community needs  • Promote a collaborative culture rooted in respect, ownership, and accountability  “We rise together” isn’t just something we say—it’s how we work. Diversity and inclusion are the only paths that allow forward progress, and our success as a company stems from that philosophy.  ABOUT THE ROLE  Under the general supervision of the management, but reporting directly to the maintenance supervisor, the technician is the primary staff person responsible for repairs and maintenance of the work equipment and appliances in both the common areas of the condominium and in the individual owner units, to the end that the need for outside service people is minimized and the residents needs are better served and with minimum delay. The technician's duties also extend to being the backup to the maintenance supervisor in the operation, repairs, and maintenance of the heating and air conditioning equipment of the building.
