Description

Part time, temporary Assistant needed to help photographer carry / set up gear, assist with record keeping of frame numbers as people are photographed, help manage groups of children, be liaison between photographer and school office personnel. Requirements: Have had experience with and patience with children of all ages Have a genuine love for children of all ages Be able to lift up to 30# Have own reliable transportation Be flexible with hours worked (typically a school day of 8am - 3:30pm, but varies) Needed for about 8 sporatic days in mid September to early October Can stay on task in a sometimes fast paced environment Is good with names and can correctly keep track of names and numbers on a list Must be able to work legally in the US This is outdoor work in all weather. Qualifications Commitment to Stewards' mission and strong customer service skills. Knowledge of California's natural and cultural history is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience with hand and power tools preferred (training provided if needed). Ability to safely drive vehicles on narrow one-lane roads; must be able to back up a truck. Clean driving record with no major violations for at least five (5) years. Cash handling experience required (background check required) Must wear an approved uniform and adhere to park grooming standards. Excellent time and project management skills. Working Conditions Frequently moves about parks to perform duties and collaborate with colleagues. Regularly walks and hikes on uneven terrain. Works outdoors in hot, cold, and varied weather conditions. Frequently lifts and moves objects up to 30 pounds. Must be available to work weekends.
