Customer Support Representative Location: Portland, OR (On-Site) Job Type: Part-Time Compensation: $22–$25 per hour, DOE + benefits Reports to: Customer Experience Manager About Barefoot Sound: Barefoot Sound is a leader in high-end studio monitor design and manufacturing, trusted by world-class artists, producers, and engineers. We’re a small but passionate team based in Portland, Oregon, dedicated to delivering precision audio tools and exceptional customer experiences. As we grow, we’re looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm for music technology and takes pride in supporting the people who use it. The Role We're hiring a Customer Service Representative to help manage and respond to customer inquiries, coordinate service logistics, and ensure that every Barefoot customer receives prompt, thoughtful support. This role will report to the Support Manager and work closely with our production and engineering teams. Responsibilities: - Respond to support inquiries via email and phone with professionalism and clarity - Assist customers with troubleshooting, warranty requests, and service logistics - Track, manage, and follow up on support tickets through our ticketing system (Zendesk experience is a plus) - Help coordinate repairs and returns with our in-house tech team and external repair partners - Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service histories - Contribute to internal documentation and FAQs - Identify common issues and flag potential improvements to product or support processes - Able to work Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM PST You’d Be a Great Fit If You: - Have at least 2 years of experience in a service, customer support, or technical support role - Communicate clearly and professionally, even when resolving complex or sensitive issues - Are organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment - Can work independently but collaborate well with a small team - Have a genuine interest in audio, music production, or studio technology - Bonus: Familiarity with powered studio monitors, basic electronics, or audio gear troubleshooting Compensation & Benefits: - Competitive salary based on experience. - Health, dental, and vision insurance. - Paid time off and company holidays. - 401(k) retirement plan. - Employee discounts on Barefoot Sound products.
