BaT-featured 2006 MINI Cooper S 6-speed (r53) - $8,100 (Laurel, MD)

Description

This car was featured on Bring a Trailer about three years ago. Since I won the auction it has been my daily driver and it's hands-down my all-time favorite car to drive. It currently has 120k miles and is very well maintained. It even beats my much "newer" 2006 MINI that I bought on BaT last year. I met the previous owner before I bought the car, and I was impressed by his uncompromising approach to maintenance which I have continued. You can read more about the car here (https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2006-mini-cooper-s-60/). Better photos will be added once I wash and clean the car. I'm assuming that you're a car buff if you're specifically looking for an r53 MINI. If you're not a car buff the four things that you need to know are the car is fast, it's super fun to drive, it's probably not suitable for your kids unless they're VERY responsible, and this one is a proven reliable daily driver if you maintain it properly. Added by the previous owner: - limited-slip differential (crucial for these cars) - new clutch and single-mass flywheel (some people like them but I'm not a fan) - Bilstein shocks Added by me (all changes are completely reversible leaving no trace): - 17% increased gear ratio on the supercharger - stainless steel cold air intake - 380cc fuel injectors (originals are included) - Sparco Assetto Gara wheels (by OZ racing) - the original wheels are included with the car - OEM aux port which plugs into the original radio - bluetooth 5.x adapter (music sounds great and calls are...acceptable) - 8k dash cam with parking mode (front and rear cameras) - wireless CarPlay and Android Auto - backup camera - multi-port USB power supply for the bluetooth and CarPlay (hidden under the dash) - OBD2 to USB power supply for the dash cam (for parking mode) In addition to the normal maintenance and upkeep that I've done: - new front brakes and rotors just now (within the last 50 miles) - complete supercharger service just a few thousand miles ago - new water pump (nothing was wrong with the old pump but you may as well with the SC service) - all new tires within the last few years - new serpentine belt and tensioner Also included: - both keys (fully functional) - new OEM front strut mounts (the car already has new Monroe strut mounts installed, but I don't like them because they creak in the rain) - new M7 strut tower brace - new OEM front MINI badge (the original front badge is faded so I bought a replacement) The car has never been in any kind of accident, and there is no hint of rust. It has meticulous maintenance records going back many years. It has a few small dings typical of the sort you pick up in parking lots which are visible in the photos. The car was garage kept for its entire life except for the last two years. The price is a steal because I need to sell it and because you know exactly what you're getting with this MINI. Don't expect to negotiate. The car and title will be turned over to whoever is the first person to transfer payment in full to my bank account. In the mean time it's still my daily driver.
