About Us: We specialize in homemade meat and dairy products, as well as imported goods. In business for over 35 years our reputation is impeccable with national recognition on TV, magazines, and newspapers. About the Job: This job offering is for a deli counter salesperson. You will need to assist customers in finding products they need, slicing cold cuts and cheese, as well as bagging the items and doing basic math to total a customers bill before finishing the transaction. You must also help the rest of the staff in stocking the store and keeping the work area clean. All training will be provided, but we are a team where everyone assists with whatever tasks need accomplishing that day. Compensation: We offer a starting salary of $_____ per hour and work 5 days per week, 8 hours a day plus exceptional tips. During the Easter and Christmas season, as well as some other points during the year, a 6th day will be required, but will be compensated as overtime. The day off in addition to Sunday will be determined upon employment, but all employees are required to work Friday and Saturday. All employees receive 30% off on any and all items in the store and we provide free lunch daily. Requirements: -You must be diligent, hard working, and responsible. This means showing up on time, working to your fullest every day, and calling ahead of time if something such as an illness or accident prevents you from coming to work. -You must have a friendly demeanor, be personable, and engaging. -Must enjoy working with people -Eager to work and learn. The more skills you acquire on the job, the more customers search for you by name when looking to be served, the more quickly you will advance. -Must be able to lift weights not in excess of 40 pounds and able to work on your feet for hours at a time. -Must be authorized to work in US Bonus Skills: -If you speak any of the following languages: Romanian, Serbian, Hungarian, Croatian, Albanian, Polish, Russian, or Slovakian.
