Looking for PT Sales Associate for local NY Boutique seen in NY Times! (West Village)

We’re Zuri, a women-owned clothing brand proudly made in Kenya, and we’re looking for a part-time sales associate to join our NYC team. We make bold, wearable pieces using beautiful, vibrant textiles—primarily sourced from East Africa—and we’re committed to sustainability, transparency, and ethical production. Everything we do is about making people feel confident, comfortable, and seen. We're looking for someone who’s great with people, passionate about design and storytelling, and excited to help customers find pieces they love. What you’ll be doing: -Welcoming customers and helping them find pieces they feel great in -Creating a warm, low-pressure shopping experience that keeps folks coming back -Restocking and keeping the shop floor tidy and inviting -Checking customers out, handling returns/exchanges, and prepping online orders -Accepting deliveries and organizing back stock -Taking initiative—whether it’s jumping in to help a teammate or rearranging the floor to better tell our story Who you are: -You’ve got 2–3 years of experience in retail, customer service, or sales -You’re friendly, proactive, and genuinely enjoy connecting with people -You have an interest in fashion, textiles, and storytelling through style -You’re goal-oriented but never pushy—you want customers to leave feeling good -You’re comfortable being on your feet and lifting a box or two if needed -Experience in styling, visual merchandising, or a creative field is a plus The details: -$21/hour starting pay -Additional monthly bonuses eligibility based on sales targets and time worked -Supportive, creative team with room to grow -Flexible schedule including availability for weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays About Zuri: We’re a small, women-owned business committed to ethical production, thoughtful sourcing, and sustainability.
