Counter Sales Position (Buckley)

We’re opening a konbini-inspired grab-and-go shop in the Mission District, celebrating Asian American third-culture flavors in a fast, friendly, and welcoming environment. We’re looking for a part-time team member who’s excited about food, culture, and community to join us at launch. Persons of any experience level should apply as we need help ASAP with other major opening tasks (merchandizing, beverage recipe R&D, etc.) Responsibilities: - Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages with consistency and care. - Assist customers in selecting food and retail items, sharing product knowledge with enthusiasm. - Operate the POS system, handle cash/card transactions, and maintain accurate sales. - Keep the shop clean, organized, and fully stocked—including restocking shelves and rotating products. - Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines. - Provide friendly, attentive, and culturally sensitive customer service. - Support special events, tastings, and seasonal promotions. Qualifications - Previous barista, café, or retail merchandising experience preferred, but not required. Training provided. - Strong communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - Comfortable on your feet for several hours and able to lift up to 25 lbs. - Punctual, reliable, and a team player. - Interest in Asian flavors, snacks, and third-culture food a plus! Schedule & Compensation - Part-time, 20-30 hours per week to start, with potential for more as we grow. - Shifts typically begin mornings and end late afternoons and you must be available at least one weekend day. - Compensation: starting at $22/hr + tips (commensurate with experience) - Free food and drink during shift, employee discount on retail purchases

We have seasonal positions available working up to 30 hours/4 days per week spread across 7 days. Requirements Education: High school diploma; degree in hotel management or relevant field will be a plus   Languages: English required, second language helpful in communication with visiting public, but not required.  Technical & management skills:   Complete multiple tasks with accuracy and diligence. Attention to detail. Time management.   Passionate about creating guest experiences and ability to be in a consumer facing environment for up to 7 hours    Ability to react quickly in a high intensity environment, always maintaining a calm professional demeanor.   Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs or one case of wine.   Personal & interpersonal skills: Strong team player, excellent communication skills within and outside of the organization, positive and enthusiastic attitude. Possess an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to adapt/pivot. PHG needs reps to INSTALL  2 Cleaning Solution Dispensers in the Planet Fitness stores in MA/VT/NH during the Week of 8/18 - or some possibly week of 8/25.  Monday Through Friday 9am to 5 pm. Pay is $25 per hour onsite and mileage can be discussed at scheduling based on distance. Takes approx. 1.5 hours per location.  Store schedule will need to be provided to client once scheduled. Tools required: Cordless Drill with all bit types including concrete and basic hand tools Reporting Required to be completed in client app with photos. And hours also reported online at PHG site for pay processing. Full instruction for install and reporting will be provided. There are multiple locations in MA/NH/VT - full list can be provided at scheduling to best fit your geographic location for possible additional stores.
