GTE Agency is seeking a Mascot and Handler to represent a high-profile brand as an iconic character. You can apply alone or as a team! Experience preferred but not required. Team members will work directly with location staff to do meet & greets with event attendees, potentially participating in special activities/award ceremonies/presentations while passing out stickers, coupons, etc. Team must be able to follow provided guidelines while working in a fast-paced environment. Everyone loves to meet these characters, so enthusiasm and positivity are key! DATE/TIME/LOCATION – Friday Sept 26 @ 8:00am-1:00pm Walmart- 470 N Airport Rd. Willows, CA 95988 **$25 Travel Per Person** ROLES: MASCOT - $30/hr The Mascot will embody the iconic character. They must: - MUST be 5’7”- 6’0” to fit into costume. - Be able to wear the full costume for the entire shift (with ample breaks). - Have an outgoing personality, with ability to be expressive in non-verbal performance/gestures. - Take photos with event attendees as requested. - Follow all provided rules and guidelines related to performing as a well-known character. No speaking, never be seen without the full costume, using only approved poses and hand gestures, etc. - Keep in constant communication with your Account Executive pre- and post-event. HANDLER - $23/hr The Handler is the Mascot's eyes and ears. They must: - Have an outgoing personality—excellent verbal and people skills, with the ability to be assertive and engaging. - Interact with event attendees while maintaining a positive attitude. Get people excited about the character and brand. - Own a smart phone with reliable internet access/service and data storage, screenshot and GPS capability. - Take 20+ event photos and be able to store them on your device for 10 days. - Email/text all event photos and recap photos to your Account Executive within 24 hours of event. - Assist in successful costume return; leave the costume (correctly re-packaged) in the store and write on recap where it was left for pick up (no extra pay provided for this option, as it will be done right before you leave the store) OR drop off a UPS package at end of shift for $ bonus. - Keep in constant communication with your Account Executive, including check-in geo-tagged photos and constant updates. As representatives of the character and brand, both team members must act according to client guidelines provided upon booking--be prepared to handle these iconic characters with care and respect 😊 Both team members must be able to be on their feet for the full shift, and must be able to lift 25lbs as the job may require the movement of supply packages. Reliability is crucial; no-shows, last-minute cancellations, and inappropriate behavior before/during events will not be tolerated. *Teams are encouraged to take the costume box to UPS directly following the event for a single $15 bonus.
