Primary responsibilities include troubleshooting/repairing underground coal mining equipment Perform full service on all equipment, diesel or electric Proper troubleshooting techniques on diesel and electric equipment Visually inspect and secure work area for hazards or potential hazards Ensure equipment, and tools are utilized in a safe and responsible manner Self-motivated and confident to work individually, but also the ability to work well with others as a team Determine the type and extent of repair work needed on various types of mining equipment Interpret blueprints, and schematics Perform work area housekeeping duties Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures Other duties as necessary Requirements Experience with both diesel and electrical underground coal mining equipment 2 +  years experience, preferred Benefits In-experienced Mechanics are processed through a contracting service starting at $20.00 per hour. Heavy equipment/ Diesel mechanic Qualifications: Heavy equipment mechanic, 5 years experience preferred Field experience a plus. Duties: -Diagnose and repair all types of construction equipment including, but not limited to, loaders, backhoes, excavators, motor graders, bull dozers, skid steers, forklifts, etc… -Diagnose and repair light, medium, and heavy duty trucks. -Repair engines, transmission, differentials, pumps, cylinders, etc… -Keeping your area and jobs as clean as possible. Qualifications: -5 Years experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy duty diesel and construction equipment. -Experience preforming in frame repairs on CAT, Detroit, and Cummins engines -Experience using Cat ET and SIS programs.
