 Starting rate is $15.00 per hour with a $1.00 per hour shift premium for 2nd shift. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Assembling pallets and crates, cutting and stacking lumber. Requirements DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS Check components for quality. Read and interpret job orders. Must be self-motivated and meet the daily expectations of the supervisor. Use good judgment. Learn to identify wood species and grade of material. Must be able to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments to meet quality specifications and industry standards. Actions should ensure a safe and productive work environment, including housekeeping, for yourself and co-workers. Maintain an acceptable attendance record. Must be able to work in a team environment. Perform other duties that may be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Manufacturing experience preferred. Experience with air tools including nail guns and other manufacturing tools. Able to read and interpret job orders. Able to listen and communicate effectively with co-workers, customers and management, and respond to common inquiries or complaints. Able to apply basic mathematical concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to such tasks as job order verification. Able to use and read a standard and/or metric tape measure. Able to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Must be self-motivated and able to make limited and independent judgments based on given alternatives. Able to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Able to interpret an assorted number of tasks or instructions. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand 100% of the time. The employee is required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls in a fast pace environment. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch and talk or hear. The employee is required to use repetitive motions. The employee must regularly lift and/ or move up to 40 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and the ability to focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an indoor and partial outdoor manufacturing environment. The noise level is usually moderate to high and requires the use of hearing protection. The employee is required to wear PPE. The employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The work environment is structured, and lunches and breaks are regulated. Must notify supervisor or group leader when leaving work area. JOB SUMMARY The Parts Finisher performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to produce various types of specified products in addition to completing routine tasks of hand washing or operating the ultra-sonic wash machine to clean manufactured components.    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Deburs parts with tools such as deburring wheels, reamers, drills, sandpaper, scotchbrite, small files, or small pneumatic tools. Loads and unloads materials or parts from washer to specified area. Immerses objects in washing and rinsing solutions to remove debris. Washes parts in ultrasonic machine or solvent, dries parts, examines parts, removes debris. Measures and pours soap or chemical into wash water, set controls to regulate cycle of wash and water temperature. Inspects parts, some under microscope. Responsible for Heli-Coil installation Completes parts assembly (non-electronic parts) and packaging. Completes paperwork. Operates a pallet jack / other moving equipment. REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor as needed. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to recognize and sort materials. Ability to operate machinery. Strong work ethic: Willing to work OT to meet tight deadlines as needed.   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Previous general labor experience in a machine shop environment preferred. High School diploma or GED Equivalent preferred. Ability read, write, and speak English fluently.   PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Regularly required to stand and reach the duration of shift, 8-10 hours. Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend. Frequently required to perform repetitive or short-cycles work. Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, machine interlocks, lifting guidelines, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned.

Work where needed, as directed by immediate a supervisor or leadman.  Willing to learn new job skills pertaining to magnetic assembly and other assigned duties. Willing and able to work with others as required. Perform other similar and related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or leadman. Mechanical experience preferred. Stand, sit, push, pull lift up to 50lbs. Maintain clean and safe work area. Complete tasks timely and efficiently in accordance with expectations as directed by supervisor. Able to operate tools including but not limited to, hand tools, manual machine tools, torch, drill press, etc. Ability to learn Eriez labor and work order collection system. Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered. Requirements A high school diploma is preferred. More than 2 years of general assembly job experience or specialized training Knowledge of how to weld and operate a Mig welder. Willingness to tackle a flexible schedule and on-time arrival for shifts. It’s a benefit if you’ve worked with powered and manual tools before. Requires basic math and technical skills.
