Job Summary: The Punch Prep Technician for Essel is responsible for preparing and setting up equipment and materials for the punch press operation and performing fire caulking tasks. This role involves ensuring all components are accurately prepared to meet production standards, maintaining equipment, performing fire caulking to ensure fire safety compliance, and adhering to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Setup and Preparation: Prepare and set up punch press machines according to production requirements. Load materials into machines and ensure proper alignment and calibration. Perform pre-operation inspections to verify that equipment is functioning correctly. Fire Caulking: Apply fire-resistant caulking to designated areas to maintain fire barriers and prevent the spread of fire. Ensure that caulking materials meet fire safety codes and standards. Inspect and repair existing caulking to maintain effective fire resistance. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of punch press machines. Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues with equipment and materials. Report major malfunctions or equipment failures to the maintenance team. Quality Control: Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to achieve desired results. Document and report any discrepancies or quality issues to the supervisor. Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Ensure fire caulking tasks comply with relevant fire safety codes and regulations. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant training is a plus. Previous experience working with punch press machines or in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience with fire caulking or knowledge of fire safety codes is highly desirable. Basic understanding of mechanical systems and machine operation. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints. Proficient in using measurement tools and gauges. Skills: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately. POSITION SUMMARY Assembles Mechanical products and mechanical assemblies to meet drawing specifications, working at bench or on shop floor. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Utilizes basic assembly techniques to assemble components correctly. Uses hand tools, powered drivers, torque wrenches, and other basic hand tools. Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners as required by drawing specifications. Ability to learn to recognize potential quality deficiencies in assemblies and notifies department lead of such concerns. Assisting the plant with shipping and receiving activities. Operates drill presses, arbor presses, or various other machines to assist in assembly operation. Performs basic quality assurance functions to ensure sub-assemblies meet specifications. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Assists with loading and unloading large crates of product. JOB SUMMARY The Parts Finisher performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to produce various types of specified products in addition to completing routine tasks of hand washing or operating the ultra-sonic wash machine to clean manufactured components.    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Deburs parts with tools such as deburring wheels, reamers, drills, sandpaper, scotchbrite, small files, or small pneumatic tools. Loads and unloads materials or parts from washer to specified area. Immerses objects in washing and rinsing solutions to remove debris. Washes parts in ultrasonic machine or solvent, dries parts, examines parts, removes debris. Measures and pours soap or chemical into wash water, set controls to regulate cycle of wash and water temperature. Inspects parts, some under microscope. Responsible for Heli-Coil installation Completes parts assembly (non-electronic parts) and packaging. Completes paperwork. Operates a pallet jack / other moving equipment. REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor as needed. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to recognize and sort materials. Ability to operate machinery. Strong work ethic: Willing to work OT to meet tight deadlines as needed.   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Previous general labor experience in a machine shop environment preferred. High School diploma or GED Equivalent preferred. Ability read, write, and speak English fluently.   PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Regularly required to stand and reach the duration of shift, 8-10 hours. Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend. Frequently required to perform repetitive or short-cycles work. Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Join JC Grounds Management, a leading snow removal contractor, as a Salt Truck Operator (STO) for the upcoming winter season.  As a salt truck operator at JC Grounds Management, you will receive training on equipment safety, operation, path of motion, and product application.  Our fleet of application vehicles do not require a CDL license to operate however you must be comfortable operating a large truck during adverse weather conditions.  Most of the shifts occur between 6pm and 8am but can/will extend to anytime of the day especially following a winter event.  Salt truck operators need to be on-time and have a clean driving record.  They will also need to load their truck with material using a skid steer (training to be provided if necessary).  We are currently looking for operators to service routes dispatched from Chelmsford, Lowell, Billerica, Tewksbury, Wilmington areas.
