Description

Resident Self Storage Manager Responsibilities: • General management of the office, including but not limited to opening and closing the office on time each day, renting units, and administrative tasks. Entailing use of the computer system and software to enter new tenants, accept payments, vacate units, run reports, send invoices and notices, etc. • Greeting customers professionally, assessing their storage needs and offering solutions. • Assist the customers in renting units, understanding their lease agreement and fees. Keep the facility rented at optimum levels by effectively utilizing advertising, promotional, and customer relations skills. • Manage customer delinquency through collection calls, and auction status as prescribed by applicable state laws, following specific procedures in the Operations Manual. • Manage and solve customer service issues. • Maintenance work, such as cleaning the sales office, grounds, and unit rollover. • Daily site inspection, bank deposits, and monitoring of the security of the facility with operation and maintenance of security gates, surveillance cameras, and other security available at the facility. • Documentation of all communications, written or verbal, with customers in storage program notes. Technical Knowledge and Basic Qualifications: • General understanding of computer systems ability and desire to learn new programs and systems required. Excel, Word, and Outlook competence required. • The applicant in this position would preferably have 1-3 years of all-around customer service and business experience or the educational equivalent. Self-storage experience is not required. • Ability to communicate effectively personally and by telephone is required, plus honesty and commitment to task accomplishment are also necessary. • A valid driver’s license is required. • Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods. Must be willing to perform light cleaning duties and maintenance. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Compensation: Base pay with bonus opportunities. Must live on site. Two-bedroom apartment, utilities, and healthcare allowance provided. Total Salary Compensation: 48-52k Office Hours Monday-Friday 9 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. No Weekends Please attach a resume.
