Position Overview:
This position offers a unique opportunity to drive the strategic vision and operational excellence of our hospice services, ensuring the highest quality of care and support for patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of goals for hospice services, ensuring alignment with organizational mission and patient care standards.
Oversee daily operations, including staff management, budget maintenance, and compliance with healthcare regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
Recruit, hire, and mentor qualified staff, fostering a culture of excellence and compassion.
Ensure effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Monitor hospice census and staffing patterns to ensure adequate resource allocation and service delivery.
Manage financial operations, including budgeting, billing, and financial reporting.
Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Licensed physician, registered nurse, social worker, or a Bachelor's degree with at least three years of documented success in the relevant field.
Licensure/Certification:
Current RN license required, with a preference for candidates with executive director-level hospice leadership experience.
Current CPR certification is required for those providing direct patient services.
Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
Experience: Minimum of three years in healthcare and five years in a leadership role, preferably within a hospice or similar setting.
Technical Skills: Proven business development and growth capabilities.
