The Home Health Aide (HHA) or CNA provides direct personal care and supportive services to clients in their homes under the supervision of a licensed nurse and in accordance with the client’s care plan. The HHA helps clients maintain safety, independence, and quality of life while promoting dignity and respect. Key Responsibilities • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. • Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe environment. • Monitor and report changes in client condition to supervising nurse or case manager. • Follow the client’s individualized care plan and registry policies. • Assist with self-administered medications as permitted by Florida regulations. • Support clients with transfers, ambulation, and safe use of assistive devices. • Document care provided and maintain accurate daily activity logs or timesheets. • Comply with all infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards. • Provide respite care for families when needed.
