Our intimate and friendly dental practice, currently staffed by 1 doctor, 2 assistant, 2 hygienist, and 1, front office, our office manager, is expanding—and your role will be key in helping us thrive! Our office hours are Tuesday- Saturday from 9:00am-6:00pm, with a one hour lunch. What We're Seeking in You: -Must have at least 2 years of experience as a dental receptionist, floater, or treatment coordinator. -Dependable & Polite: Punctuality, professionalism, and a warm demeanor. -Outstanding Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, especially over the phone and in-person. -Customer-Service Focused: A true people-person who makes patients feel cared for from the moment they arrive. -Organized & Detail-Oriented: Able to multitask, manage scheduling efficiently, and maintain accurate records. Better aligning with what top practices expect, your daily responsibilities may include: -Greeting and checking in/out patients with warmth and accuracy -Managing appointment scheduling—including confirmations, rescheduling, cancellations, and optimizing provider time -Updating patient records, treatment plans, charts, and handling intake forms digitally -Verifying insurance coverage, processing claims, explaining benefits, and following up on billing items -Collecting payments, presenting treatment cost options, and handling financial arrangements -Handling phone and email communications, patient questions, and referral coordination -Ensuring the reception area is clean, well-stocked, and welcoming -Assisting clinical staff and ensuring smooth flow between patient rooms and administrative tasks -These are typical of what dental front office professionals handle daily and show candidates that they'll be stepping into a critical role in patient satisfaction and practice efficiency. Qualifications & Perks: -High school diploma or equivalent required, trade school, Associates degree; or equivalent work experience. Minimum 2 years in a dental office setting. -Prior experience with Dentrix is a plus, but willing to train on the software.
