Medical Assistant (Kendal)

A busy medical practice with multiple offices, is seeking a self-motivated and reliable Certified Medical Assistant. We are a friendly caring office looking for someone with great people skills and capacity to handle a variety of tasks efficiently and with great ease. The qualified candidate preferably should have two years of experience in medical health office registration, benefits and eligibility verification, and familiarity with medical terminology. Medical assistant will take patient's vitals, medical history, document reason for visit, and perform EKGs. Duties include prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients, insurance verification, preparing computer generated notes. Qualifications and Skill Requirements: • High School diploma or equivalent • Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred. • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant is preferred. • Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English and Spanish • Moderate MS office skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and prior experience with EMR preferred. • Must pass a level 2 background screening. • A minimum of two-years of experience is preferred, but not required; willing to train suitable candidate • Reliability and punctuality are a must. • Must possess excellent organizational skills as well as the ability to multi-task • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is imperative.
