$17-$19/HR Meat Butcher Needed in Vernon, CA (Vernon, CA)

We are an outstanding food manufacturing company in Vernon, CA currently in need of a meat trimmer. Job responsibilities: • Trim, clean, slice, and cut raw meat to prepare for packing. • Uses knives and other equipment to perform trimming. • Sharpen and clean knives as needed and use personal protective equipment to ensure safety. • Verify that each item meets the quality standards of the company. • Rotate to other job duties in the department depending on needs. • Ability to work with cold materials in a cold environment. • Follow all safety regulations and support others in working safely. Qualifications / Requirements: • Basic knife skills • Consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of position. • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. • Must be able to work weekends and OT • Ability to lift 60lbs without any restrictions. • Must be able to work in a cold environment 30-35 degrees (up to 10 degrees in freezer) • Able to stand and perform manual lifting.
