The Acme Bread Company is looking for an addition to our staff of friendly, dependable and energetic night bakers at our location in San Francisco’s Ferry Building. Duties will include dividing and hand-shaping bread dough, monitoring proofing, baking in our deck and rack ovens, cleaning, and maintaining production records. For the right candidate, there is potential to be trained on tasks such as mixing. This position will start as a temporary role, with the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate. The schedule will be for five (5) overnight shifts per week. Full availability is required; please expect to work weekends, holidays and overtime when needed. Requirements: - Ability to work quickly and efficiently - Good communication and reading skills - Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced food preparation environment - Ability to lift 35lb containers of ingredients on a regular basis - Ability to lift 50lb bags of flour occasionally - Open availability, including weekends and holidays - Must be legally eligible to work in the US Benefits: - Paid Sick Leave and Bereavement Leave - Vacation time accrual if the position becomes regular (non-temporary) - Kaiser Health Insurance (100% for employee after 2 months of employment) - Dental Insurance (100% for employee after 3 months of employment) - 401-K Plan (after first year of employment) - Free bread every day!
