Prep Cook- Senior Meals Employment type: 30-40 hours per week. Are you looking for a steady stream of income and still have free time to enjoy life?? If so, you are at the right post!! Must have excellent knife skills (for chopping dicing slicing) to work with protein and vegetables. Ability to follow recipes and cook a variety of proteins, vegetables, soup and other food produces • Ensuring ingredients are tagged, date-labeled, covered, stored, and rotated effectively. • Maintaining food safety standards and following protocols and procedures precisely. • Utilizing kitchen and food production equipment to process ingredients. • Disassembling, cleaning, and proper storage and maintenance of equipment. • Assisting with clean up and other duties as needed. Qualifications and Requirements: • Experience in cooking western, Asian and comfort foods ( meats, poultry, veg, starch/grain, soup) Excellent knife skills in prep of produce, meats and fish. • Prep experience in volume production kitchens with sense of urgency and organization • Able to bend, stoop and work standing for long periods of time. • Ability to use various kitchen tools and equipment. • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. • Have a neat, clean appearance, with work appropriate hygiene and grooming habits. • Food Safety Handlers required Benefits: Competitive pay for work performed, significant growth opportunities for advancement AND • On the job training • Sick Pay • 401K plan
