**About the Role:** We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Food Runner to join our hospitality team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth and efficient food service operations, providing an excellent dining experience for our guests and employees. The Food Runner will assist with maintaining cleanliness, organization, and consistency across food service areas while also supporting the kitchen with light prep and delivery tasks. Food Runner Responsibilities: - Run food from the main kitchen to service areas in preparation for meal periods. - Set up and break down food service stations, including cups, utensils, napkins, compostable service-ware, and condiments. - Clean and maintain all food service areas, ensuring trash and recycling are removed promptly. - Refill and maintain coffee, tea, and juice service areas throughout the day. - Restock shelf-stable and refrigerated snack items to ensure availability. - Perform light food prep as directed by kitchen leadership. - Support the team with general organization and upkeep to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Qualifications: - Prior experience in hospitality, food service, or a similar role preferred but not required. - STRONG attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and food safety standards. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and carry out tasks efficiently. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Comfortable with standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs for extended periods. We are hiring for multiple locations in downtown Palo Alto. Door Position: Applicant must have a current RBS (responsible beverage server) id active on file with the ABC. Previous experience is preferred, but not required. Main responsibility is to verify that customers entering the bar are 21 years of age or over. Must be available to work Fridays and Saturdays. Additional shifts available once training complete. Salary depends on experience with multiple pay raises in first 12 months of consistent employment. Shifts are Tuesday - Saturday nights Bar Position: Applicant must have a current RBS (responsible beverage server) id active on file with the ABC as well as an active safeserve (or similar) food handlers certificate. Ideal candidate will have some experience in the customer service industry. Experience behind the bar is preferred. Knowledge of craft beer as well as popular spirits is an additional plus. Must be self-motivated and able to keep busy when there are lulls in business. Cleanliness, great service and speed are qualities we are looking for.
